Dates: Are dark red to brown and oval in shape. The date fruit is from the date palm. Their skin has a wax film coating that is sticky to the touch and wrinkly. Dates pack well in bags. When the date dries the sugars from the fruit concentrate on the moist flesh. After to long of drying the date forms sugar crystals on the outside making them less edible.
